MTVR MTVR, Mobile Tactical Light Recovery Vehicle, the latest "stretched" derivative of the M113 family of light armored vehicles. This unique vehicle is available as a new build or by conversion of an existing M113 vehicle. The MTVR offers exceptional automotive performance, cross country mobility, and substantial capability increases recovery operations over the five roadwheel M113 based Recovery vehicle. The MTVR features an upgraded powertrain, combining the 400 hp Detroit Diesel. 6V53TIA electronically controlled engine with the Allison X200-4B Hydrokinetic transmission. The reconfigured suspension system gives the MTVR more than 15 inches of roadwheel travel, providing improved ride comfort and control. The MTVR is equipped with a 40,000 pound winch with a line speed of 10 feet per minute. The vehicle is also equipped with two spades mounted to the rear plate and a blade to reinforce it during recovery operations.  Armor protection for the crew is provided by the M113's aluminum armored hull. Optional add-on armor packages are available, providing protection up to 30mm ballistic attack. The MTVR uses components common to the M113FOV, ensuring high reliability, plus common maintenance techniques and an established logistics support base. The MTVR is roll-on/roll-off transportable on a C-130 aircraft. Based on more than 30 years of combat vehicle expertise, the MTVR is an affordable, supportable solution for all cargo carrying needs.
