The vehicle is powered by a 400 hp 6V53TIA turbocharged/aftercooled diesel engine driving through an X200-4B cross drive transmission, EIFV uses many M113 common
components ensuring high reliability, availability and maintainability. Applique armor provides maximum protection in a lightweight package.
The vehicle carries a crew of three and six dismount soldiers. Armed with the 25mm stabilized chaingun and a two-tube TOW launcher, this small, agile vehicle can kill
either a tank or fighting vehicle. As with all M113 variants, it is transportable on a C-130 aircraft. Kits to convert M113s to the EIFV are available.
