York County is divided into 16 school districts, one vocational-technical school and an intermediate unit, which serves children with special needs. Various combinations of pre-school, primary and secondary are offered by private and parochial schools. More than half of the 3,520 graduates of these 16 public schools go on to higher education to learn a wide variety of skills.
